Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history intake to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions through medication administration
• Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards like CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 for billing and data management purposes.

Skills

• Extensive experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and data management.
• Proficiency in performing procedures including suturing,
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and diagnosis.
• Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for billing; experience with medical coding is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching, family planning, addiction counseling, and discharge planning.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure safe clinical practices across inpatient and outpatient environments. Pay: $70.00 – $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
