Responsibilities:
- Provide ear, nose and throat specialized care to patients.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform minor procedures in office, including but not limited to, nasal endoscopies, cerumen impaction removal, epistaxis control and foreign body removal, endoscopic and stroboscopic evaluation, post operative care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Conduct pre-operative exams and provide pre/post-surgical instructions and education to patients and their families.
- Utilize electronic medical record system (Modernizing Medicine) to document patient encounters and manage patient information.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with established standards and guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree, together with a certificate from completing an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program
- Possession of a license to practice as physician assistant from the state of California
- Possession of state and federal Controlled Substance Registration
Minimum Experience required:
- 1+ year of working experience as a physician assistant
- Knowledge of medical procedures and guidelines concerning assessment, treatment, and recovery
- Experience with improvements in innovative medical technology
Skills required:
- Some clinical experience in ENT is preferred but not required
- Ability to provide expert clinical judgment and function independently
- Possession of exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable effective collaboration with physicians, staff, community health workers, patients and their families
- Ability to work with little or no supervision, and to take initiative in handling the responsibilities of the post
- Ability to understand complex medical information and clearly communicate it to patients and their families, medical staff, and external customers, in written and spoken format
- Possession of conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to effectively manage conflict in work environment
- Ability to keep all sensitive and confidential information to self and out of reach to unauthorized persons.
