About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to support our inpatient psychiatric facility in Santa Rosa, CA. This role focuses on providing medical support services to psychiatric patients, including History & Physicals and medical consults.
This is an ideal opportunity for a provider seeking a flexible, predictable half-day schedule with consistent workflow.
Responsibilities
- Perform History & Physical (H&P) examinations on new admissions
- Complete medical consults for psychiatric inpatients
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in EMR
- Support medical clearance and ongoing patient stability
(Note: Role is focused on medical care within a psychiatric setting; no primary psychiatric prescribing required.)
Qualifications
- Active California NP license (FNP required)
- DEA license (preferred)
- Experience in inpatient, SNF, hospitalist, or psych setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
