Position Summary:We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who is comfortable in a fast-paced clinical setting and thrives in managing a variety of occupational and urgent care cases. You will play a key role in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment while providing compassionate and efficient care.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with Evidence-Based Medicine standards.
- Effectively manage patient flow and minimize wait times to maintain a positive patient experience.
- Conduct pre-employment physicals, assess workers’ compensation injuries, and address urgent care complaints with appropriate specialist or ER referrals as necessary.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, EKGs, and laboratory tests.
- Perform minor outpatient procedures (e.g., wound care, incision and drainage, foreign body removal).
- Educate and counsel patients on prescribed treatments, testing results, and follow-up care.
- Document patient interactions and clinical assessments promptly and accurately in the EMR.
- Work closely with the Clinic Medical Director to maintain clinical standards and care quality.
- Actively engage in team-based patient care with the support of a physician assistant/nurse practitioner team, on-site Clinic Medical Director, and dedicated operations, IT, and clinical staff.
Qualifications and Skills
- Board Certification is required.
- Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in California, along with active DEA and BLS certifications.
- DOT Certification required, or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Controlled Substance License and unrestricted DEA license.
- Experience in Occupational Medicine is preferred (training available).
- Minimum of 1 year in urgent care or emergency medicine is desirable but not required.

The base salary is determined on the candidate’s education, qualifications, and experience, and is subject to change based on various internal and external factors.

Pay: $55.00 – $90.00 per hour
