Full Job Description
Latino Health Services is currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to work in women’s health for a temporary period of time. This job opportunity requires:
- Write prescriptions for particular medications, including the frequency and dosage, depo shots, prenatal vitamins, etc.
- Diagnosing, treating, and helping female patients manage acute and chronic illnesses. Counseling and educating patients about preventive measures to avoid illness.
- STD diagnosis and management.
- Referring to perinatologist on high risk OB cases when appropriate.
- Record and examine the medical history, diagnoses, and symptoms of a patient.
- Discussing the significance of abnormal pap smears and colposcopy results.
- Provide care and guidance to patients when it comes to taking medication, as well as what side effects they may have, and any interactions that may take place with medication the patient is already taking.
- Provide prenatal care and family planning services.
- Routine prenatal care for women of all ages.
- IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal.
- Be able to perform colpos and cryos is a plus.
- Perform endometrial biopsies.
- Ordering and performing diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Breast cancer counseling and screening.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $65.00 – $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
