Full Job Description
The Urology Faculty Practice is a high volume specialty clinic that focuses on a variety of urological diagnoses. The Urology Clinic treats adults with a wide range urinary tract conditions. These include common problems such as kidney and bladder stones, urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence, and less common ones, such as obstructions of the urinary tract and painful bladder syndromes. In men, we provide treatment for benign conditions of the prostate gland, erectile dysfunction and male infertility. Our team is also nationally known for expert repair of traumatic injuries to the genitals and urinary tract. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range. The salary range for this position is $91.20 – $124.28 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
Physician Assistant
- Two (2) year Physician Assistant Experience
- Two (2) years of current surgery, urology, transgender and/or women’s health experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication, professional attitude, and interpersonal skills effectively interact with diverse professional and patient population
- Ability to satisfactorily perform job duties as defined in the job duties/functions
Sr. Physician Assistant
- Two (5) year Physician Assistant Experience
- Two (2) years of current surgery, urology, transgender and/or women’s health experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication, professional attitude, and interpersonal skills effectively interact with diverse professional and patient population
- Ability to satisfactorily perform job duties as defined in the job duties/functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience in an academic medical center
- Experience of performing simple procedures independently
- ACLS
License/Certification
- Hold an active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA).
- California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position .
- Hold current national board certification by first day of work and maintain.
- Hold an active and transferable DEA license to California and have evidence of transfer by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
- Completion of a AAPA recognized graduate master’s degree program as a physician assistant.
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day.
- Hold current AHA BLS.
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
