Pacific Plastic Surgery Group is looking for a Physician Assistant with an active California Physician Assistant license to assist with patient care at our clinic and at our affiliated hospitals in San Francisco, CA under the supervision of two board-certified plastic surgeons.
Competitive benefits and salary package commensurate with experience, starting at $145,000.
Key Responsibilities include:
- First assist in plastic surgery procedures, including: breast surgery, abdominoplasty, facial plastic surgery, and reconstructive surgery.
- Treat aesthetic patients using laser and energy devices (IPL, Laser, Microneedling, etc)
- Treat patients with injectables (Botox and Filler) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
- Interest or experience in hair restoration a plus but not necessary.
- Delivery of quality medical care in an efficient manner under the direction of or supervision by Physician.
General Responsibilities include:
- Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
- Contributes to a physician’s efficiency by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues.
- Recommends options and courses of action for patient care.
- Implements physician directives.
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examination including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory studies and interpreting test results.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
- Provides community of care by developing and implementing patient-management plans.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an approved school with a degree as a Physician Assistant
- Proof of certification/license
- Master’s Degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Maintain continuing education requirements as required for licensure and skills maintenance
- Working knowledge of medical office administration and procedures
- Basic computer skills and preferably experience with electronic medical records
- Excellent communications skills
- DEA License
- Superior customer service and bedside manner
Preferred:
- Operating Room experience
- Experience/training in cosmetic & reconstructive procedures
- Professional experience in an outpatient clinic
- Experience with Nextech, PracticeFusion, and Epic
