Full Job Description
Join a highly skilled, dynamic group of APPs in the outpatient clinic in Hematology, Blood & Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapies at the Parnassus campus of UCSF Health. Our patient population includes those receiving chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, or cellular therapies for the treatment of hematologic malignancies. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $87.66 – $108.99 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of PA experience in an outpatient or inpatient adult hematology or oncology program
- Demonstrated competence in the following areas: clinical practice, communication, clinical case management, and problem identification/resolution
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of PA experience in an academic medical center
License/Certification
- Active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA).
- California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position.
- Current national board certification by first day of work and maintain.
- Active and transferable DEA license to California and have evidence of transfer by 90th day of clinical practice. It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer.
- Complete an AAPA recognized graduate master’s degree program as a physician assistant.
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day.
- Current AHA BLS as minimum requirement.
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
