We’re currently seeking a Critical Care Pediatric Physician Assistant to join our amazing team.
Details of the Opening:
- Anticipated start date: ASAP
- Salary Range: $150-160/hr
- Anticipated duration of this contract assignment: 6 months, option to extend
- Anticipated schedule: Variable 12 hour shifts

Daily Range of Responsibilities:
- Majority of patients are surgical
- Patients include: a significant heart failure population, patients on vents, patients who are pre & post op, patients with cardiac catheterization, many patients on ECMO, many pre-post op transplant patients
- Perform and assist with procedures such as intubations, central line placement, arterial lines, and chest tube insertion (depending on credentialing and training).
- Participate in daily ICU rounds and interdisciplinary care planning.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments, and communicate updates to families and team members.
- Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Job Qualifications:
- Current Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification through NCCPA.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active, unrestricted state license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Pediatric Critical Care or PICU experience required
