Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) Part-Time.
Location: San Diego County, CASchedule: Part-time (approximately 10–15 hours per week)Compensation: $85-$90 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
Cardiology of Southern California is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our cardiology practice. This role will focus on providing high-quality patient care in collaboration with our physicians and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients in an outpatient cardiology setting
- Perform patient histories, physical exams, and follow-up visits
- Assess, diagnose, and manage common cardiovascular conditions under physician supervision
- Review and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, labs, imaging results)
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members
- Coordinate care, referrals, and follow-up as needed
- Adhere to all clinical, regulatory, and practice policies
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active California PA license in good standing
- NCCPA certification
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Prior cardiology experience is strongly preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians
