Job Title: Physician Assistant – Pain Management Location: Poway Job Type: Full time, can be Part time if needed Department: Pain Management Reports To: Medical Director / Supervising Physician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong interest in pain management to join our multidisciplinary care team. The PA will work under the supervision of a pain management physician, performing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing and treating patients with acute and chronic pain, and participating in ongoing care planning to improve patient quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments including history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized pain management treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests in accordance with state regulations and supervision agreements.
  • Perform in-office procedures (e.g., joint injections, trigger point injections) as appropriate to training and scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, psychologists, and other providers to deliver holistic pain care.
  • Provide patient education on medication management, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards.
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and continuing education programs related to pain management.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current PA license in [State].
  • NCCPA certification required.
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority in [State].
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or a related specialty preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
