Location: South Coast Gynecologic Oncology, San Diego, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time (80% Part-Time Flexibility Available)
Hourly Range: Based on level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre- and post-surgical patient consultations in the office, including managing chemotherapy schedules.
- Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in various settings, including clinics, ASCs, and area hospitals.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient, emergency room, pre- and postoperative care, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Work closely with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to maintain continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform medication reconciliation and coordinate post-discharge follow-up care for surgical patients.
- Order, interpret, and document tests and treatments, and assist in managing drug prescriptions.
- Engage in patient education regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care, enhancing patient understanding and compliance.
- Participate in the training of staff and students, contributing to the educational mission of the organization.
- Assist in surgical rounds and on-call responsibilities at area hospitals, providing timely and efficient patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited PA program with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid State licensure as a PA in California, DEA, and CSL certification.
- Minimum 6 months experience in surgical care, with a preference for those with experience in gynecologic oncology.
- Bilingual abilities are an asset.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in robotic surgery.
- Experience in an Gynecology and/or Oncology medical office
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
