Job Title: Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA-C) – Full Time
Location: San Diego, CA with travel days to El Centro, CA.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: TBD -depending on experience

McSweeney is a leading, fast-paced orthopedic practice in California dedicated to comprehensive musculoskeletal care, with a main emphasis on California Workman’s Compensation care and treatment. We are seeking a motivated, skilled, and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Orthopedic PA will provide high-quality care in our clinical setting, working closely with Dr. James E. McSweeney, orthopedic surgeon to manage patient care from diagnosis to post-operative recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical: Conduct patient evaluations, order/interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRIs), and formulate treatment plans.
Procedures: Perform joint injections, PRP injections, suture removal, wound drainage, application, removal of splints/casts, and manage post-operative follow-up appointments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely Electronic Medical Records (EMR), assisting the physician with peer-to-peer calls and rebuttals, Medical Legal exams and reporting, and supplemental reports.
Qualifications:
Valid California Physician Assistant license (PA-C).
4 years of experience in orthopedics preferred with a great emphasis of the Workman’s Compensation working, protocol, documenting and reporting. Out practice is mainly gear toward Workman’s compensation patient, with some Private Insurance patients and also some Personal Injury cases. Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy.
