Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients, particularly in workers comp and personal in jury settings. This role requires a strong understanding of physiology, acute pain management, and effective medication administration. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients while ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities– Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.- Manage acute pain effectively through appropriate interventions.- Provide care in nursing home settings, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.- Utilize data management systems to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.- Perform basic life support procedures as necessary.- Stay updated on ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation.- Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care strategies.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Skills
-Minimum 1-2 years experience in the field.- Proficient in basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols.- Strong knowledge of physiology and its application in patient care.- Experience with medication administration, particularly in personal injury or orthopedic patients.- Familiarity with data management systems for effective record keeping.- Ability to dialyze patients when required, demonstrating technical proficiency.- Understanding of acute pain management strategies tailored to individual patient needs.- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate medical record documentation.- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.- Compassionate approach towards elderly patients, ensuring dignity and respect in all interactions.

Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour
