Job Overview

Looking for a DOT / NRCME Certified Physician’s Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic healthcare teamwork. Positions is part time/per diem 1-2 days per week. In this role you will be doing pre-employment screening physicals and DOT physical exams. Great support staff. Position available immediately.

Qualifications required: DOT /NRCME Certification, Excellent customer service skills. Active listening and strong communication skills. Ability to work closely and collaboratively with ancillary staff.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift up to twenty – five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job includes: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret lab testing and medical imaging as part of the screening process.
• Utilize software systems to enter physical exam findings.
• Utilize EMR system.
• Assist in the training and support ancillary staff.

Experience

• A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
• Previous experience performing DOT Physical Exams and Pre-Employment Physical Exams.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration within the healthcare team.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is expected.
