Physician Assistant – Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $80 – $100 hourly
Part-time: 2 – 3 days per week
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Physician Assistant for a small general practice clinic seeking a compassionate and skilled provider interested in working at an incredibly diverse and agile work environment.
About the Job
The role will help promote and maintain patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician. This role will provide care for our patients in the Sacramento clinic.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform complete, detailed, and accurate histories, review patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports, and order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies appropriate for the complaint, age, race, sex, and physical condition of the patient.

Make medical diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, other resources of the community, or other physicians.

Perform hospital rounds and record appropriate patient progress notes. Accurately and appropriately transcribe and execute specific orders at the direction of the Supervising Physician.

Compile detailed narrative and case summaries.

Interpret and evaluate patient data to determine patient management and treatment.

Provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care matters to patients.

Order tests to determine the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries

Prescribe medications and make recommendations for lifestyle changes to remedy medical problems.

Provide treatments such as stitching wounds, setting bones, and administering immunizations

Order appropriate screening and/or routine diagnostic tests.

Provide treatment of minor illnesses and accidents either in consultation with the physician or according to established protocol.
Qualifications:

Three years of experience in the healthcare field

Passed the PA National Certifying
-
California Physician Assistant License
-
Able to work in Sacramento, CA

Experience with EMR and EHR platforms preferred.

Being bilingual is a huge plus, especially Chinese, Middle-Eastern, and Spanish languages
