Orthopedic Associates of Riverside, a well-established Orthopedic practice based in Chicago, is seeking a Physician Assistant with a strong interest in Orthopedic Surgery and Adult Reconstruction. In this role you will provide a mix of inpatient and outpatient care. The position involves splitting time equally between the clinic and the operating room. After appropriate training the Physician Assistant will work independently seeing his/her own patients in the clinic. Surgically, the Physician Assistant will work primarily with the group’s adult reconstruction surgeon but will also have the opportunity to assist on a wide range of Orthopedic upper and lower extremity procedures. A Physician Assistant with operating room experience would be preferred.

Performs diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical assisting, preventive and health maintenance services under the direction and supervision of a physician. Duties include surgical consults, ordering and interpreting labs/ films and studies and ability to perform office procedures, i.e. wound care, seroma aspiration, and drain removal. This position requires travel to multiple facilities as needed for patient care purposes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited PA program required.
  • BLS card for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
