Position Summary:

We’re seeking full-time Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our team of dedicated medical providers. We offer a supportive environment for both new grads and experienced providers. This is an Internal Medicine clinic which treats patients 18 years old and above.

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant you would specialize in the health maintenance, disease prevention, physical diagnosis, treatment of common episodic problems, along with managing acute and chronic medical conditions. As a Mid-Level Provider, you’d be working under the direct supervision of an M.D. while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to determine patient health status.
  • Diagnosis: Utilize clinical judgment and medical knowledge to diagnose illnesses and health conditions.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions based on patient assessments, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and recommending lifestyle modifications.
  • Health Promotion and Education: Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications, including dosage adjustments and monitoring for adverse effects.
  • Disease Management: Manage and monitor chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease through regular follow-ups and adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Minor Procedures: Perform minor medical procedures, such as suturing wounds, administering injections, and removing sutures or staples.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and provide initial stabilization and care until further medical assistance arrives.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Research and Evidence-Based Practice: Stay informed about the latest medical research and evidence-based practices to provide the most current and effective care.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of nursing practice and maintain certification and licensure requirements.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and healthcare outcomes.
  • Continuing Education: Engage in ongoing professional development and education to stay current with advances in healthcare and maintain certification.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the practice.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner program).
  • State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • National certification in a specialized area (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, etc.).
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
  • Must have the ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.

Compensation:

  • This is a salary position with the pay range of $65.00 – $85.00 per hour ($135,200 – $176,800 per year) depending on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, licenses/certifications, etc.
