Full Job Description

Initiates and directs the day-to-day policies and procedures of the Department of Physician Assistant Education, which aids the faculty and staff in performing their duties and the students in reaching their potential. Teaches in the PA program.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
1. Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to the practice of Physician Assistants. 2. Knowledge of the skills and tasks that may be performed by a primary care Physician Assistant. 3. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. 4. Ability to handle detail-oriented projects. 5. Ability to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, students and health professionals. 6. Organizational skills necessary for prioritizing workload. 7. Ability to initiate and complete projects.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited PA Certificate Program. Earned doctorate degree (or in progress) preferred.
2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Physician Assistant and 6 years full-time teaching experience in a PA or related program. 3. LICENSURE: Physician Assistant License. NCCPA Certification. California Driver License. 4. PREFERENCES: Preference will be given to individuals with 2 years administrative experience.
