Full Job Description
We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant to join our team! You will provide healthcare services, under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
- Order and administer tests including bloodwork
- Review and interpret test results
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health problems
- Detect changes in patient condition
- Prescribe medications
- Provide referrals to other providers when necessary
- Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families
- Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a physician assistant or other medical fields
- Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of customer service
- Possess a warm and caring manner
- Willing to work weekends
Requirements:
- Bilingual Strongly Preferred
- A valid California license as a Physician Assistant
- Valid prescribing authority and DEA
