Trauma APP (NP or PA) – Full Time – Bay Area, CA3x12s Schedule – Days, Nights, Weekends Required – No Call

A high-acuity trauma center in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join its trauma team. This is a full-time opportunity to work in the busiest trauma center in the Bay Area, treating critically ill and injured patients across multiple hospital departments.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 3×12 hour shifts per week
• Mix of days and nights
• Weekdays and weekends required
• At least 4 weekend shifts required per month
• No call responsibilities

Position Details:

• Patient Volume:
• 20-25 patients per day (split with resident on floor)
• 20 patients per day in clinic
• 5 to 12 trauma activations per shift
• Patient Population: Ages 15 to 101
• EMR: EPIC
• Practice Setting: Hospital
• Department: High-volume trauma, ED to ICU

Support and Duties:

• Collaborate with residents and trauma team
• Provide care from ED through inpatient and ICU
• Manage critically ill trauma patients
• No OR or first assist responsibilities

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of trauma experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Experience with:
• Management of shock, stroke, ACS
• Neurosurgery, orthopedics, ED, and ICU patients
• Procedures: arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes
• Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments

Licensure and Certification:

• Active California License required
• DEA in California required
• BLS and ACLS required
• ATLS preferred (must be willing to obtain within 1 year of hire)
• Board certification required

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $128.00 per hour
