Job Summary:The Infertility Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients seeking fertility evaluation and treatment. This role involves conducting medical evaluations, assisting in diagnostic procedures, educating patients, and supporting fertility treatments under the supervision of a licensed physician specializing in reproductive medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Perform comprehensive health histories and physical exams with a focus on infertility and reproductive health.
- Evaluate and manage patients presenting with infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, or other reproductive health concerns.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as hormonal profiles, ultrasounds, and semen analyses.
- Clinical Procedures:
- Assist in or perform procedures such as transvaginal ultrasounds, intrauterine inseminations (IUI), and ovulation monitoring.
- Support egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and other assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures as appropriate.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care and counseling.
- Treatment Coordination:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Counsel patients on fertility treatment options, including lifestyle modifications, medication protocols, and ART procedures.
- Educate patients on medication administration, including injectable fertility medications.
- Patient Education and Support:
- Offer emotional support and resources to patients navigating infertility.
- Ensure patients fully understand their diagnosis, treatment plan, and potential outcomes.
- Administrative Duties:
- Document patient visits and treatment plans accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, lab technicians, and administrative personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current on advancements in reproductive medicine and infertility treatments through continuing education and professional development.
- Participate in case discussions, staff meetings, and patient conferences.
● Working hours: Monday to Friday, day shift, full-time, with rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
Skills: Be organized, detail oriented, willing to learn, and excellent in interpersonal communication. Able to adapt, multitask, and demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills. Ability to navigate EMR systems. Experience with G Suites and Adobe Acrobat.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $150,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
