OC Alliance Medical Group is seeking a knowledgeable and caring NP or PA full-time to join our growing team immediately. Job duties will primarily include Evaluations and Management of musculoskeletal complaints, frequent trigger point injections, occasional joint injections, possible NCV tests, and B12 shots. We are looking for someone long-term and passionate about helping people get their bodies functioning better.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical examinations of patients to evaluate musculoskeletal health and diagnose illnesses
  • Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, ultrasounds, and nerve tests
  • Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary
  • Prescribe and dispense medications occasionally; Acute opioid prescribing is very rare and we do not initiate or maintain chronic opioid therapy.
  • Document medical information of patients and maintain electronic medical records
  • Educate, instruct, and counsel patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care, and encourage and promote preventative health care and positive health behaviors
  • Request consultation or referral with other health care providers, such as physicians and clinics
  • Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends, and support research project
  • Follow practice treatment protocols and policies

Qualifications

  • Degree or certificate reflecting successful completion of recognized Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant education program
  • Must have an active California license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of practice
  • 1-2 years of clinical work experience preferred.
  • Previous pain management and ortho experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be compassionate and personable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff
  • Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional active listening skills
  • Clinical Spanish is preferred
