We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team.
POSITION SUMMARY: As an Orthopedic Physician Assistant at Newport Orthopedic, you will work under supervision to provide clinical support to orthopedic patients, including but not limited to: medication management and refills, some new patient evaluations, patient follow-ups, X-Ray and MRI reviews, as well as order and interpretation of diagnostic tests. You must possess the ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks, work as a team to accomplish practice goals, and maintain strong organizational skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications, physical therapy, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Provide patient education on conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed and up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, nurses, and radiologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in orthopedic medicine and participate in continuous education and training.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current state license and certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Previous experience in orthopedics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, orthopedic conditions, and treatment options.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
- Proficient computer skills for electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
PAY RANGE: $125,000-$140,000
