Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and performing various medical procedures. The Physician Assistant will also play a vital role in educating patients about their health and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assess patient health status.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform medical procedures such as suturing, pap smears, joint injections, skin biopsies, cryotherapy, abcess drainage, ultrasound guided injections.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient encounters accurately using Elation Health.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Participate in occupational health assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Stay updated on ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities within a teaching hospital environment.
Skills
- Strong background in critical care practices is essential for this role.
- Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in California
- Certification from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in using modern computer-based EMR/EHR systems

Pay: $158,000.00 – $188,000.00 per year
