Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Wound Care NP/PA to provide specialized wound care services across multiple care settings. This role involves comprehensive wound assessments, advanced wound treatments, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, document, and take pictures of patients’ wounds, capturing characteristics, measurements, and progress
- Develop and manage individualized wound care treatment plans
- Administer wound care treatments including dressings, debridement, and topical medications
- Apply advanced wound therapies such as negative pressure wound therapy and skin substitutes
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, imaging, vascular studies) related to wound healing
- Monitor wound healing progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, prevention, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in wound care medicine. Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWS, or equivalent) preferred Strong diagnostic, procedural, and communication skills Experience with EMR systems and mobile documentation tools
- Minimum 2 years of wound care or related clinical experience
- Proficient in wound management principles and best practices
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to support diverse patient populations
Compensation & Benefits : Flexible schedule, 1099 Contract Position, Mileage Reimbursement
