Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our medical team. The Surgical Assistant will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.
Duties:- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and their families- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures
Experience:The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:- Proficiency in basic life support techniques- Familiarity with medical systems and equipment- Knowledge of family planning procedures- Experience with IV infusion techniques- Understanding of medical coding practices- Ability to assist in cardiac catheterization procedures- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality- Familiarity with spinal tap procedures- Experience with neonatal ventilators- Understanding of clinical research protocols
