Job Summary
209 Urgent Care in Modesto, Ca is looking for a motivated Physician Assisitant who is excited about delivering an amazing urgent care experience to patients of all ages. You are a licensed health professional who maintains and restores human health through the practice of evidence-based medicine. You will review medical histories, conduct physical exams, diagnose illnesses/injuries, collaborate on treatment plans, and counsel patients on health and well-being.
What you will perform:
- Provide exceptional treatment, collaborative care options (within the scope of urgent care), including physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment
- Order and interpret x-rays, lab results, and EKGs
- Triage and manage patients thoroughly and efficiently, maintaining a steady flow to avoid long wait times
- Treatment of common concerns and procedures could include: STI diagnosis and treatment, wound closure and management, I&D, foreign body removal, ingrown toenail repair, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, IVs, nebulizer treatment, URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatry screening, and stabilization, etc.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as aspirations and injection of joints, bursas, and cysts. Start IV fluids
- Perform closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers/toes, including nursecleaner’s elbow reductions
- Apply and modify braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances
- Review and manage daily tasks, patient callbacks, and lab results, while on shift
- Provide oversight and lead the day-to-day operations, as the sole provider and serve as an expert by consulting, and coaching.
What is required of you:
- PA – Valid California license to practice as a Physician Assisitant
- Current, unrestricted PA license to practice in the state of California
- Maintain a controlled substance license along with an unrestricted California DEA license
- Ability to work Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
- Ability to see an average of 7-8 patients per hour

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 28 per week
