Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

JOB TITLE: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Urogynecology/Gynecology

REPORTS TO: Practice Manager

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, energetic NP or PA, who has a strong interest in Women’s Health & Body Wellness. Works within the scope of the Nurse Practioner or Physician Assistant practice. Will operate and provide services under the supervision of a physician at all times in a clinical setting or as dictated by state law. Assist physician with direct patient care, and perform specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol or physician request.

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant may perform the following duties:

1. Performs routine specialized procedures, such as, catheterization, and sterile dressing changes under established protocols, bladder instillation, pessary checks, and urodynamic testing. Insertion of Hormone Pellets

2. Annual Gynecology Exams

3. Performs non-surgical body contouring, such as, Emsculpt Neo, Emsculpt, and Emtone. Facial Aesthetic Treatment such as ThermiSmooth

4. Wellness Studio Clinical Champion perfoming duties such as patient consultations and photo organization, follow-up, knowing latest clinical protocols.

5. Screens, manages, and follows up telephone messages from patients, referrals, and pharmacies; explains patient’s problems, medications and procedures to patient.

6. Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues within established parameters

7. Obtains direction from physician as needed, informs patient of test results and any further treatment prescribed

8. Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies

9. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization of equipment.

10. Assist with scheduling tests and treatments.

11. Prepare patient for examination

12. Collection of lab specimens and preparation to be sent out to the lab with appropriate lab orders

13. Assist the provider with exams and minor office procedures

14. Use CPR skills when required.

15. Dispose of biohazard waste according to state standards.

16. Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.

17. Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.

18. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

19. Take phone calls and phone call after hours and weekends with VIP/Concierge patients , to be worked out on an as needed basis.

EDUCATION: NP or PA Medical Board License

EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience preferred. Excellent computer skills required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

*Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols.

  • Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and /or infection control standards.
  • Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide

instruction on proper care and treatment.

  • Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.

● Willing to be a Champion for all patient treatments, flow, membership, lead the wellness studio, and participate with director in promotion of wellness services.

Menopause and hormone therapy background, pellet training desired, but not required. However, willingness and enthusiasm to learn latest techniques of hormone therapy including bio identical HRT training ASAP, paid for by practice.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Moderate physical activity. Ability to lift assisting patients. Requires handling of 25

pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

  • Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and

situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use

of protective equipment.

  • Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require OSHA training.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $125,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
