Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced PA/NP for our Manteca Clinic–it is in northern Central Valley– a community of nearly 100K and less than 30 minutes from the Bay Area and 2 hours from Tahoe and Yosemite. One hour from Sacramento .This is a full time position 5 days per week doing medical and surgical dermatology though if experienced can also do cosmetics. About 35 patients per day. PA/Np must be comfortable diagnosing skin cancer meaning able to biopsy on the face. The facility was built out recently and is very nice and has 8 exam rooms. There is already one experienced PA there.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer injections and perform necessary procedures as required.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
- Manage acute care cases, ensuring timely interventions and follow-ups.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote patient care when appropriate.
- Document patient encounters accurately using ICD-9 coding for billing purposes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support clinical decision-making.
- Participate in hospital medicine activities, providing care in inpatient settings as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in telehealth technologies and practices.
- Strong background in infectious disease care, with the ability to manage related patient cases effectively.
- Experience administering injections and performing basic life support procedures.
- Solid understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient assessments and treatments.
- Familiarity with hospital medicine protocols and outpatient care practices.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
