Overview:
Purpose Statement/Position Summary The Physician Assistant (PA) provides clinical support on both the inpatient units and outpatient clinic settings. The PA participates in medical examinations, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric surgical conditions, and in special therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities include obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, communicating treatment plans, obtaining and evaluation required laboratory tests and assisting in the comprehensive care of surgical patients on the acute care wards, emergency department, or in the operating room. These duties will be performed under the supervision of Physicians. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience 3+ years Physician Assistant experience in a pediatric setting preferred. Education/Licensure/Certification Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in California. Current CPR Certification through the AHA
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
