Company Overview

West Coast Fertility Center is a modern fertility center specializing in IVF. We are looking for a full-time NP or PA who is passionate about women’s health and would like to grow with our practice. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in OBGYN or women’s health.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will practice with the highest level of integrity and must have great interpersonal communication skills. The ideal incumbent will be energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and function well in a team-based care environment.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide patient consultations, directing infertility evaluations and implementing treatment protocols.
  • Obtain detailed medical history, review medical records and perform appropriate physical examination.
  • Perform infertility-related services including ultrasonography, routine gynecological exams and procedures, endometrial biopsy, and interpretation of laboratory values.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans appropriate to individual patients.
  • Perform procedures such as Saline Infusion Sonohysterogram (SHG) and Intra-Uterine Insemination.
  • Assist the physicians with minor surgical procedures and post operative recovery.
  • Counsel patients and provide informed consent prior to fertility treatments.
  • Evaluate and counsel women with reproductive endocrine disorders: polycystic ovarian syndrome, thyroid dysfunction, endometriosis, and other gynecological disorders; and implement appropriate therapy.
  • Perform surveillance of early pregnancy via ultrasonography
  • Limited supervisory role for clinical staff, oversee personnel scheduling and organizational initiatives.
  • Perform role of liaison for clinical staff and supervising physician to ensure quality medical care and address issues for improvement.
  • Provide patient counseling and education on pertinent health issues.

Requirements

  • Must have one of the following: Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license or Physician Assistant license in California.
  • Experience in IVF (fertility) preferred, or women’s health, or OBGYN.
  • Experience with ultrasounds / sonography.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with EMRs and computer skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

This position pays between $110,000 – $160,000 annually, depending on experience.
