Full Job Description

Looking to place a dedicated and passionate Physician Assistant within our Orthopedic Spine Surgery practice. This PA should be someone extremely organized, goal-oriented and takes initiative independently. We are looking to hire a PA with a long-term partnership in mind.

Apply to partner with this reputable and nationally recognized physician who specializes in Orthopedic Spine Surgery, minimally invasive and complex spine. This physician has been repeatedly recognized for his excellence in Healthcare. The environment is fast-paced so we require someone who is adaptable and anticipates needs ahead of demand. You will work in a team setting with one physician and alongside other experienced medical personnel. The practice is geared towards providing evidence based spine care in a compassionate way.

There is opportunity for spine related research and global outreach as well.

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

  • PA will independently see patients in clinic, assist in surgery, conduct hospital rounding, see ER consults, help with some office tasks, and dictate reports.
  • There will be surgical teaching and mentorship during surgery 2-3 days per week.

Requirements:

  • PA degree with California license preferred
  • Experienced PAs and new grads welcome
  • Relative shadowing or work-experience; references will be checked.
  • Orthopedics or related field experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills pertaining to use of EHR, insurances, computer systems, and technology
  • Excellent keyboard skills
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a critical environment.
  • Ambitious, reliable, and seeking mentorship is key for character qualities

Compensation Details:

  • $115k to $120k starting salary
  • $10k signing bonus (full bonus compensation requires 2 years of employment)
  • Medical, dental and vision benefits

  • $2k CME per year
  • Fridays are flexible depending on clinic and surgeon schedule

Job Locations:

  • Advanced Spine Care in Los Alamitos (outpatient clinic 2-3 days per week)
  • Long Beach Memorial Hospital (80% of surgeries and hospital rounding)
  • DISC Newport Beach (5% of surgeries)
  • DISC Marina del Rey (5% of surgeries)
  • Marina Orthopedic and Spine Institute (10% of surgeries)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
