Full Job Description

ProHealth Partners /Argus Medical Management provides all Management Services critical to running a successful medical practice allowing our physician clients to focus on the practice of medicine.

We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant to work full time with a Board Certified Nephrology Physician in Los Alamitos Candidates will work with specialties: Nephrology

Applicants should possess all appropriate licensure and credentialing as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualified applicants must have a Nephrology experience as a Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Under the direction and guidelines of the collaborating and supervising physician, the NP will provide medical consultation, evaluation, and pharmacological services in an outpatient setting to adult patients with a full range of common acute and chronic health issues.

· Conducts patient interview/medical history, performs physical exam, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic conditions.

· Documents all pertinent information pertaining to chief complaint, medical/emotional condition, drug reactions, treatments, and significant incidents.

· Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of supervising and collaborating physician.

· Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.

· Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory studies and diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical findings and health care needs.

· Provides Health Education and resources to patients.

· May direct care through registered or licensed nursing/medical assistant staff.

· Follows up and evaluates the outcome of plan of patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Education: Requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing Specialty

· Certification/Licensure: The following must be active and in good standing

· State of California RN License

· Active NP Certification

· NPI number

· Current DEA/Furnishing number

EXPERIENCE:

· Prior experience in Nephrology is required

SKILLS:

· Knowledge of medical terminology.

· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience with Electronic Medical/Health Record (EMR/EHR)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to work independently.

· Possess tact, confidence and caring attitude, even under stress.

· Must believe in health care with dignity for all.

· Ability to communicate with people and understand their problems.

· Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing.

· Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including, but no limited to, standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.

· Commitment to quality.

· Excellent bedside manner and a demonstrable ability to build rapport with patients and co-workers.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
