Position Overview
Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Surgical ICU PA or NP to join a large health system in California. This role provides night coverage within the Surgical ICU, supporting triage, consults, and cross-service surgical patients. The environment begins with lower acuity and volume, ideal for a strong provider ready to step into a high-functioning academic setting.
Work Details
- Coverage: 15–20 shifts per month
- Night Team: 2 APPs on duty + attending backup available
- Patient Census: 12–15 patients
- Practice Setting: Inpatient
- Operating Rooms: 24 total
- Patient Population: Adults
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Board Certification (PA-C or NP) – Required
- Active California license – Required
- ATLS certification – Required
- Minimum 2–3 years of Surgical ICU experience
- Strong triage and consult management skills
Pay: $115.00 per hour
