Full Job Description
Huntington Beach Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urgent care, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of California.
- Certification by a nationally recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in urgent care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Per diem
Pay: $60.00 – $75.00 per hour
