Full Job Description

We are looking for a Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Los Angeles Area.

Our practice sees patient’s in many different settings including: clinic, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.

Our practice currently consists of two physicians (Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care) and five midlevels (NP/PA). We are looking for an additional NP or PA to help with internal medicine consults at a psychiatric hospital and also nursing homes. You may also have opportunities (if desired) to see patients in clinic, assisted livings, and acute care hospitals as well.

The psychiatric hospital is located in the city of Hawthorne and the nursing homes are located in different areas of Los Angeles, most of which are close to the hospital in Hawthorne. You would go to 1 or 2 nursing homes per day. Traveling to different work places is required. The benefit is that there is flexibility with timing on when you want to go the the hospital or nursing homes.

This job is for someone who is looking to work independently, but supervision is always available when needed. Prior experience is encouraged, but not required as I will provide training until you feel comfortable on your own. Our group has been working very closely together for many years and employees become like family. We are looking for a loyal and dedicated new member.

Starting compensation is based on prior experience. Total compensation is based production. You have the opportunity to make up to or even more than 200K if you are motivated to work hard. Your malpractice insurance is paid by us. This is a big opportunity to learn and become an NP who can take care of patients in any clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Examine patients and their medical records
  • Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
  • Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
  • Propose treatments for chronic and acute diseases
  • Prescribe medications

  • Submit billing on time
