Pain Management Physician Assistant

Compensation: starts at $150,000

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Physician Assistant in the Fresno, California area. The ideal Physician Assistant will promote and maintain patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.

Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to physician’s effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing physician directives.

  • Provide high-quality pain management to patients and their families.

  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.

  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

  • Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.

  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Develops health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply, or

  • Open to Physician Assistants with no experience in Pain Management, or

  • A least 1 year of experience in pain management

  • Active DEA license without restrictions

  • Must have a current California PA license

  • Must have a current DEA, ACLS and BLS certification

  • Can speak Spanish is preferred but not required

  • Able to work in Fresno, CA

  • Experience with EMR and EHR platforms preferred
