Physician Assistant Job Summary:The Physician Assistant (PA) provides patient care under the supervision of licensed physicians, following clinical protocols. The PA is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients, initiating or adjusting treatment plans with guidance from the supervising physician. The PA ensures high-quality care and complies with medical standards, regulations, and clinic policies.
Salary: $156,000.00-$206,315.00
Physician Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests.
- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with medical knowledge.
Physician Assistant Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current California Physician Assistant License (PA).
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (if applicable).
Physician Assistant Experience:
- Preferred: Clinical experience in primary care or family practice.
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
