Malay Aparnath, M.D. is seeking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Fountain Valley, CA

Our Private Practice is committed to supporting medical practices to deliver tailored sophisticated team-based care models that meet the needs of our patients.

o The Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical support for clinic and hospital patients.

Main responsibilities:

The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with medical practices while providing these key services:

Chronic Pulmonary Condition Reviews: Conduct in office, and ICU – hospital setting.

  • ICU experience is a must and proficiency in common ICU procedures is desired.

The Nurse Practitioner oversees critical cases, including peer-to-peer management.

  • The Nurse Practitioner helps with on-call hospital coverage.
  • The Nurse Practitioner Promotes model improvements along with the Medical Director.
  • The Nurse Practitioner servs as an ambassador of best practices in Pulmonology, Critical Care Medicine to our patient population and our Health Partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner) degree
  • Current and unrestricted state license to practice medicine as a Nurse Practitioner or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Current and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency license or ability to obtain by start date.

External Qualifications

  • ICU In-patient experience strongly preferred.
  • Schedule and coverage vary.
  • Hospital coverage 12-hour shift
  • 2+ years of clinical experience (Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine) is a PLUS
  • Inpatient experience strongly preferred.
  • Coverage for inpatient Pulmonary
  • ICU census averages from 25 and up
  • IP Pulmonary census average is 25 and up
  • Team spirit and a positive attitude
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Compensation DOE

Essential Technical/Motor Skills:

  • Excellent range of knowledge with respect to the practice of medicine. Ability to speak clearly and communicate with patients, families, agencies, other providers, and staff regarding patient care.

Proficiency in various Medical EHR Systems such as EPIC and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

  • Bilingual is a PLUS

  • The ability to develop positive interaction with patients, families, physicians, administrators, and co-workers to effectively care for the patient.
  • Key competencies include curiosity, communication, collaboration, and relationship-management.
