Job SummaryHematology and Oncology Associates is a patient-centered, private practice committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and respectful care to our patients. We are seeking an enthusiastic NP or PA for our Folsom office. Will consider both FT or PT applicants. Essential responsibilities, among others, include collaborating with the physician to treat and manage chronic diseases, hematologic and oncologic conditions, and side effects of chemotherapy. In addition, must be able to obtain medical histories, conduct physical exams, assess and evaluate medical and laboratory tests, and counsel and educate patients.

Attention to detail and pursuit of excellence in patient care is a must. You must have a good attitude, personal integrity, and a strong work ethic. You will mentor closely with the physician. Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program, a nationally recognized board certification, and a valid California license are required.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
  • Administer medications, including IV infusions, injections, and other treatments as required.
  • Manage chronic conditions through ongoing patient education and health coaching.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a clinical setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of patient assessment, medical documentation practices, and HIPAA compliance is essential.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with active state licensure.
  • Proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding for accurate billing practices..
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $160,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
