Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in an Urgent Care setting. This position requires a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history intake.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret results to guide patient management.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions as prescribed.
- Provide acute pain management and triage patients effectively in emergency situations.
- Assist in surgical procedures and perform suturing as needed.
- Manage patients in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and emergency room environments.
- Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
- Participate in clinical research and data collection for ongoing studies and trials.
- Educate patients on health coaching, nutrition, and disease prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards while providing patient care.
SkillsThe successful candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set that includes but is not limited to:
- Proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding for accurate billing practices.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatrics, knowledge of care for all age groups.
- Familiarity with diagnostic imaging.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $65.00 – $85.00 per hour
