Job Title: Pain Management Physician Assistant
As a Pain Management Physician Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for patients suffering from chronic pain. Your expertise will guide patients through their pain management journey, employing a variety of treatment modalities and innovative approaches. You will work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare team to develop personalized treatment plans that empower patients to regain control over their lives.
What you’ll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate pain conditions and determine appropriate treatment strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized pain management plans, utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Perform procedures such as botulinum toxin treatments, injections, and other minimally invasive techniques to alleviate pain.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, including triage for acute pain management needs.
- Engage in clinical research and trials to advance the field of pain management and improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards (ICD-9, ICD-10).
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
Basic qualifications
- Active California PA License
- DEA license required
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Pain Management
