Full Job Description
A Busy modern rheumatology practice located in Covina, California, is seeking a 30 Hours full-time Physician Assistant ( Tuesday , Wednesday and Friday 10 hours each day ) under the supervision of a physician. One year experience is preferred. Rheumatology training will be provided. Our office has state-of-the-art information technology as well as ancillary services including bone density (DXA), X ray, Lab, infusion center, ultrasound, and a research center. Bonus paid based on productivity . Change to salary and productivity after the training period.
Responsibilities:
- Main responsibilities include patient care such as obtaining detailed and accurate medical histories and formulating assessments and plans, interpreting laboratory and radiologic studies, and performing routine rheumatology procedures such as trigger point and joint injections.
- May be involved in medical research.
- Serves as a health information resource for patients and families providing education about disease management and treatment including medication administration.
- Good computer skills with fast typing speed is a plus. EHR used.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Qualifications:
- Good computer skills with fast typing speed. EHR used.
- PA California license and certification is required.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
- One year experience is preferred
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00 – $75.00 per hour
