Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Busy outpatient physician’s office in Burlingame looking for a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. Our clinic provides Primary Care, Endocrinology, and Obesity Management. Job Duties:

• Performs patient history and physical examinations, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic health problems.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems, and health care needs.
• Prescribes medications, including controlled substances, or other forms of treatment as needed.
• Makes referrals to physician and other healthcare providers as necessary.
• Documents assessment, management and education clearly, concisely, and legibly within medical record EHR.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills with patient and significant others to provide feedback regarding findings and treatment plan.
• Provides education to patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Current CA Nurse Practitioner license or Current CA Physician Assistant license
• Current DEA

Additional helpful qualifications (not required):

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC)
• Certified Diabetes Educator or desire to obtain
• Interest in Diabetes Management
• Interest in Obesity Management
