Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Perform various medical procedures such as gastric lavage and discharge planning.
  • Manage pain management protocols and provide addiction counseling as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record systems, specifically Cerner.
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication with healthcare team members.
  • Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
  • Assist in coding for billing purposes to ensure accurate reimbursement for services provided.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients with internal medicine needs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes and pain management techniques.
  • Experience or training in addiction counseling is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices in patient care.

Pay: $700.00 – $800.00 per hour
