PA Job description
We are in search of a California Licensed Physician’s Assistant: PA, in our very busy Plastic Surgery Practice and Outpatient Surgery Center in Beverly Hills, CA. Our Practice offers state of the art aesthetic plastic surgery procedures to patients from all over the world. Our Plastic Surgeon is world-renowned and highly respected in our industry. The PA is the liaison between the Anesthesiologists, Surgery Center Staff, Office Staff, Surgeons and Patients. If interested, there is an opportunity for the PA to provide some aesthetics treatments to our patients including Injectables, Fillers, and Lasers and some medical procedures including suturing and suture removal, post-op and pre-op care. The PA will be an integral support system for patients during their surgical journey. Duties:
- Working with Scrub Techs, Anesthesiologists, Surgeons & RN’s in the OR and medical office
- Coordinate Pre-& Post-Op care for each surgery patient
- Assisting with Local, MAC or General Anesthesia Cases
- Opportunity to perform Injectables (Fillers, Botox, PRP) and Laser Treatments
- Helping with the flow & efficiency of clinic days and OR days
- Explaining medications to patients and ensuring that they are following post-op instructions
- Helping with IV’s, Patient Charting
- Communicating with Office Staff regarding what each case needs for surgery
- Responsible for post operative care for all surgical patients and will see all follow ups for/with the surgeon.
- Assist the surgeon with anything patient care related or procedural related as needed
- May be asked to see immediate Post-Op patients at local After Care Facilities
Requirements:
- 1-5+ years minimum experience (in Plastic Surgery and in the Operating Room specifically)
- Proficiency in Operating Room and Clinical Patient Care
- Live within decent proximity to Beverly Hills
- Reliable transportation
- Time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to provide high-end customer service
- Confidentiality/Non-Compete
- MUST have CURRENT California PA License
