Physician Assistant – Retina/Ophthalmology (Full-Time, Relocation Provided)Bakersfield, CA
A respected, high-volume retina practice is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, in-office role with comprehensive retina training provided, including injections and imaging. No prior ophthalmology experience is required.
This is an ideal opportunity for new graduates or experienced PAs looking to transition into a high-demand subspecialty with mentorship and long-term growth potential.
Position Details:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (no weekends or evenings)
- Salary range: $120,000–$150,000 annually
- Bonus potential
- Annual CME budget
- Reimbursement for state license, DEA, and certification fees
- Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits
- Involvement in clinical research is available, but not required
Duties Include:
- Intravitreal injections
- Fluorescein angiography
- Patient evaluations and medical history review
- Diagnostic imaging (OCT, fundus photography)
- Supporting retina specialists with treatment planning and procedures
- Coordinating follow-up care and patient education
Qualifications:
- Active or eligible PA license in California
- Strong interpersonal and clinical skills
- Interest in ophthalmology or retina care (no experience necessary)
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required
