Job OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring accurate medical documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
- Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety and confidentiality
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, memory care needs, or behavioral health conditions
- Assist with complex clinical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, wound care, and infection control protocols in diverse settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care units like ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I Trauma Centers, or pediatric units such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) to deliver comprehensive patient service
- Support patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring long-term or sub-acute care by implementing personalized care plans aligned with best practices in geriatrics and behavioral health
Skills
- Proven experience working in medical settings such as hospitals (including trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record keeping
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and recognize abnormal findings requiring escalation
- Experience with specialized care procedures including hospice care, infectious disease management, dementia care, and memory support strategies
- Skilled in handling medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheter care supplies while maintaining patient safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times
