Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians to provide high-quality patient care, perform diagnostic tests, and assist in treatment plans. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring patient well-being and contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical practice.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as spinal taps and administer injections as needed.
- Assist in minor surgical procedures, including suturing wounds.
- Provide education to patients regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient encounters accurately, including coding for medical billing purposes.
- Engage in addiction counseling and public health initiatives as required.
- Maintain compliance with medical standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Physician Assistant license and certification from an accredited program.
- Proficiency in performing medical procedures such as ventilating patients, suturing, and administering injections.
- Strong understanding of medical coding practices.
- Experience in public health or addiction counseling is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
